The Challenge
British Airways requested an integrated campaign to boost ticket sales during the popular Christmas holiday season. This season is particularly important to BA due to the large number of ex-patriots returning home to London from Hong Kong. The travel market in Hong Kong is very competitive at this time and an effective campaign is critical to maintaining market share.
The Solution
In conjunction with an email campaign and promotions on BA's website, a series of online banner ads and tiles were created to promote BA's "Win and Shop" campaign. The creative for the banners aligned with BA's simple and direct brand identity. An important part of this project was correctly identifying the sites on which to advertise. The recommendation included travel sites (eg, AsiaMiles, Travelocity, etc.), business sites, ex-patriot services sites (eg, ExPat.com) and Asian news (eg, South China Morning Post).
