The Challenge
STAR TV required a marketing tool to promote the features and benefits of its new interactive TV service in Taiwan. The innovative media channel provides scheduling features, program preview and trailers and program blocking for adult material. The product demo, to be mailed to prospective customers in a direct mail piece, needed to show the operations of the channel.
The Solution
A multimedia CD-ROM was developed to highlight the interactive features of the service. The content is structured into two sections: Learn About Total TV and Experience Total TV. The Learn About section includes service details and how to become a customer. Experience Total TV is a service "simulator" with a remote control interface that affects its TV. Users can click on the remote to explore the menu system of the service - with a real, interactive TV interface - and experiment with its features.
